Pennsylvania: Muncy Creek Township: Amend Ordinance to Address Medical Marijuana Uses

NOTICE - PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE Muncy Creek Township requests public comment on its proposed Ordinance No. 19-50, known as the 2019 Amendment to the Muncy Township Zoning Ordinance, at a hearing on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 7:00 pm, at the 1935 RT 405 HWY, Muncy, PA 17756.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance No. 19-50 is on file at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, the James V. Brown Library, 19 E. 4th Street, Williamsport, PA 17701, and may be reviewed at the Township Building during business hours.

The proposed Ordinance No. 19-50 proposes to amend the Muncy Township Zoning Ordinance as follows to: recognize the standalone Stormwater Management Ordinance;

amend Section 1402 to add or amend definitions of "Dwelling", "Lot, Severed", "Structure", and "Retail Services";

amend Section 302, Table of Uses, to permit "Group Day Care Home" in same location as "Family Day Care Home";

amend Section 421 regarding unenclosed storage and prohibit displays in designated parking spaces; revise Section 204(3) and

amend Section 204(3) regarding severed lots; amend Section 1102 to impose one (1) deadline to commence construction for approved conditional uses; amend Section 703(A)(1) to require off-street parking spaces to conform to IBC standards; amend Section 302 to reference maximum building height;

amend Section 406(D) to correct section cross reference; delete reference to fence fees from Section 1205;

amend Section 1205 to impose additional fees and penalties if permits not obtained prior to commencement of work;

add provisions to the Ordinance to address medical marijuana uses;

add definitions in the sign regulations for "Sign, Temporary", "Banner", "Sign, Mobile", "Sign, Electronic", "Sign, Off-Premises Electronic", and "Sign, On-Premises Electronic";

add Section 804(4) to regulate electronic signs;

to amend Section 802(8) to regulate temporary signs; and,

amend Section 803(J) to regulate home occupation signs.

The Board of Supervisors may take action on the proposed ordinance at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting immediately following the public hearing on Monday, February 18, 2019. Cindy S. Newcomer Muncy Creek Township Secretary
