Michigan: City of Scottsville: Add Chapter 116 to Code to Prohibit Marihuana Establishments

CITY OF SCOTTVILLE MASON COUNTY MICHIGAN FIRST READING ORDINANCE NO. 2019-01 On January 7, 2019, at a regular meeting of the Scottville City Commission, an ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Scottville by adding a new chapter which new chapter shall be designated as Chapter 116 of said Code and by adding a new section which new section shall be designated as Section 130.15 of Chapter 130 of said Code was presented for first reading. The proposed ordinance will prohibit marihuana establishments, as defined by the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act, within the City, and will also prohibit the sale or consumption of marihuana in any public places within the City. The proposed ordinance will be presented for adoption at the February 18, 2019, regular meeting for the Scottville City Commission at 5:30 p.m. All interested parties are invited to attend. The above proposed ordinance is on file at the Scottville City Clerk’s office at 105 N. Main Street, Scottville, Michigan, for public inspection during regular business hours.
