NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS & SPECIAL-USE PERMITS

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF GREEN LAKE TOWNSHIP, GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Green Lake Township Planning Commission will hold public hearings at their regular meeting on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 6:00 PM. The public hearings are being held to review and accept public comment on two proposed amendments to the Green Lake Township Zoning Ordinance, (Ordinance # 4) adopted October 1, 1977 and as amended through May 14, 2018, and three Special-Use Permit Applications. The hearings will take place at the Community Room, 9394 - 10th Street, Interlochen, MI 49643. There are five issues to be addressed by the Planning Commission relative to the purpose of the public hearings, as follows:

ZOA #18-08: Receive and discuss any public comment received and consideration given relative to the proposed amendment of the zoning ordinance with respect to recommending changes to Article 15, Section 15.4, VARIANCES, of the Township zoning code.

ZOA #18-09: Receive and discuss any public comment received and consideration given relative to the proposed amendment of the zoning ordinance with respect to correcting a typographical error to Article 11A - Gateway Form Based Overlay District, Section 11A.3 Regulating Plan, Figure 1 of the Township zoning code to change the “VMF” development area to “VE” as defined; and with respect to changing Article 8 - Zoning Districts, Section 8.7 Table of Dimensional Regulations, of the Township zoning code to change the “Water's Edge” “Minimum Setback” from 60' to 50'.

PSU #18-03: Receive and discuss any public comment received and consideration given relative to the proposed Special-Use Permit Application and site plan review for a warehouse operation at 7184 Scotchwood Ln., Grawn, MI 49637-9650. Parcel Number 28- 07-330-006-00.

PLU #18-098: Receive and discuss any public comment received and consideration given relative to the proposed Special-Use Permit Application and site plan review for a medical marihuana facility license for a processing facility and a provisioning center, at 11850 US Highway 31, Interlochen MI 49643-9365. Parcel Number 28- 07-007-014-41.

PPR #18-04: Receive and discuss any public comment received and consideration given relative to the proposed Special-Use Permit Application and site plan review for a medical marihuana facility license for a provisioning center, at 11100 US Highway 31, Interlochen MI 49643-9347. Parcel Number 28- 07- 007-029-00.

A copy of the proposed Special-Use applications and amendments to the Zoning Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Green Lake Township Offices, located at 9394 - 10th Street, Interlochen, MI 49643, during regular office hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

All interested persons are invited to attend. Individuals may make public com- ment, in person, at the public hearing or written and/or faxed (231-276-9388) or emailed to Zoning@GreenLakeTownship.org.
